Riegel’s pedigree
Riegel, shown here at a dog show, is the only male from a remarkable litter. He was sired by the incredible Drumlin (BISS Ch Wolf River’s Drumlin ROMC), a dog only 10 generations from the original Samoyeds exported from Siberia during the Polar explorations of the 1890’s-1910’s. Although Drumlin is gone, he left behind a legacy of dogs who made essential contributions to the Samoyed breed.
The lovely Canyon (GCh Seamist Canyon Of Wolf River WS) is Riegel’s dam. She ran on our sled dog team the season they won the SCA Top Sprint Racing award. We could not have loved her more if we had raised her from puppyhood.
It is thrilling to have a little part of both of these fine dogs, and we are honored that Riegel has joined our kennel and family.
